Question
How do I clean the limestone fire place surround?  Burning wood in the fireplace, the top of the surround and the hearth have gotten smokey and dirty.f8u3v

Answer
Hello Pat, check with your local wood stove store they should have a product that will clean the stone. You will have it come right back the smoking is a recurring problem and will just come back next few fires, I would have a local Certified Chimney Sweep (www.csia.org, there you can look up by zip code to find one near you) take a first hand look at what you have they should be able to help it sounds like a "negative pressure" issue.
Hope this helps
James
