Chimney & Fireplaces/fire blanket

I am wondering where I can get a fire blanket for my Fire place insert,  It sits on top of the fire brick under the flue and also is it needed since it goes up thru the chimney thru triple insulated tubing,  thanks  Rick

Contacting the manufacture of the insert would be the place start. If you don't know the manufacture, or they are no longer in operation, you should consult a CSIA certified chimney sweep in your area for assistance with this. Many manufactures require this blanket on the appliances, Vermont casting for certain. The inclusion of this blanket is part of the listing for safe operation of your system and should be replaced. www.csia.org.
