Question
i have a chimney that used to have an oil burner in it .
now that it dosent i would like to run my wood stove through it.
how would suggest making this safe?
i have considered running stove pipe down the chimney .
would you find this to be safe? and how would that be done?
thank you for your time clint

Answer
Hello Clint, it might not need any thing if the flue is sized right and clean, but I would have a local Certified Chimney Sweep (www.csia.org, there you can look up by zip code to find one near you) take a first hand look at what you have they should be able to help. you may just need an insulated liner.
Hope this helps
