Question
We have some damage to our tile chimney liner and are looking for the most cost effective way to safely repair the chimney. The chimney itself is made of masonry blocks and the liner is ceramic tile. Can we pour a concrete mixture between the chimney and the tiles to seal the system? From what I can ascertain, the concrete mixture would not stand up to the heat. Can we pour a cast in place liner in between the existing liner and chimney and if so, is the cast in place dry mixture available for purchase or are we forced to deal with a chimney contractor. Thanks for your help. We live in a remote part of Montana and do not have access to a competent chimney contractor.

No, you can not repair the flue using that method.
I know you said you live in a remote part of Montana, but you still need to find a chimney contractor that will do the work. This is not something you can repair yourself.
I recommend you contact the nearest CSIA Certified Chimney Sweep to do some on-site diagnosis of your problem.
