QUESTION: please look at the buck stoves model 18  says it fits any ul listed prefab fireplace , so what does that mean  thanks tamie

Answer
Welcome back Tamie, the stove maybe rated for an insert but the insert may not be.did you check with your local wood stove stove? I do not recommend an insert in a prefab, sorry.
if you do decide to do this install, check with your local building department and a local certified chimney sweep (www.csia.org)
UL listing means that Under Writers Laboratory tested this fireplace (or any thing they test and passes) but they did not test it with an insert.
