Question
every TIME WE USE OUR GAS FIRE OUR LIVING ROOM FILLS WITH FUMES,WE HAVE IT VENTED THROUGH THE EXISTING CHIMNEY DO WE NEED SOMTHING ADDITIONAL TO EXTRACT THE FUMES

Answer
I would highly suggest having a professional or the company who installed it to check out what the issue is.

There should be no reason for the room to fill up with fumes from the unit unless it is brand new and you are turning it on for the first time to break it in (in which case the fireplace will emit odors for approx 12 hours).

Please don't use the unit until it has been professionally checked.
