Question
when i build a fire in my nashua wood stove smoke comes back in the house.  I have the door shut on the stove but the smoke comes in from around the door and the thermostat and where the joints on the stove pipe are.  why is this happening and how do i fix this,  I live alone and am afraid that my house will catch on fire can you help me

Answer
Hello Lynn, if you have smoke coming out around closed doors then it might be time for a new stove or the gasket needs replacing, I would have a local Certified Chimney Sweep www.csia.org, there you can look up by zip code to find one near you) take a first hand look at what you have they should be able to help.
Hope this helps
