Question
I have this stove (used). There is a plate on top sloped down
to the front and a ? 3 inch channel on the bottom of the
plate. Nothing more something went to this plate, stove does
not heat for (you know)can you tell me what went to the plate
or what may be missing any help would be greatly apprieciated

Answer
ello Jeff, with out the owners manual there would be now way to tell (may have been a re burning or damper plate....?) with out the owners manual I would not use this stove...you have a few months left to  qualify for the $1,500 tax credit on a new wood stove.

Jeff I am sorry you felt my answer was "no help at all" and rated me so poorly, but you have a  stove I have never heard of (there are literally hundreds of stove and fireplace manufactures most not even in business any more) I searched for the owners manual (NCSG web site with over 300 manuals and called 2 local wood stove stores) but did not find it. and as I said with out that manual I would not use it (It is your house and you can do what you want but from a safety side it could be deadly)
please understand also you gave a very vague description of the stove and problem how would any one be able to help with that?
I do this as a volunteer and take this time to help people with questions  with my over 25 years of experience and education in the industry and Certification.
Please understand just because you didn't get the answer you wanted does not mean I did not help you, I did, I explained to not use it and look into a new stove.
bottom line this stove is "not heating" and you have pieces missing or fabricated, don't use it
