Chimney & Fireplaces/fireplace chimney

Question
Hi...my metal stack or chimney from our fireplace insert is bent over from last years heavy snow....exposing a few gaps in the stack where it connects....should i be concerned or is this dangerous?

Answer
Hello Steve, yes this can be a very dangerous problem, the entire chimney/fireplace might need to be replaced, do not use this system, I would have a local Certified Chimney Sweep www.csia.org, (there you can look up by zip code to find one near you) take a first hand look at what you have they should be able to help.
Hope this helps
