Question
My chimney was inspected and the sweep stated"there is no creosote buildup but the flue liner is glazed and cannot be removed by brushing". It was suggested to use a chemical cleaning or "burn out by stoking a hot fire".I am afraid of a chimney fire as a result,do you have any suggestions?b

Answer
Hello Barry, they do make a few chemical's that will help (do a web search for ACS) DO  NOT BURN IT OUT, we do a Rotary cleaning with a chain on a rod that connects to the drill that breaks the glaze off see if you can find a Certified Sweep WWW.CSIA.ORG that does Rotary cleaning.
burning your system hotter will help keep this from building up that much.
