Question
after replacing my 6 inch stove pipe the connection at the top of the stove is not sealing properly

what can i do to seal this joint properly

thank you for any help

Answer
Hello Ardell, is the male end going into the stove as it should be? if so the crimp might be to small, if you can you have to "un crimp" it, I use 2 hammers and hold one inside the pipe and hit down on to it with the crimp in the middle, this will re stretch the metal/crimp and make it bigger it might work.
you can also try furnace cement but it will crack  and will need re applications.
do you have the right size "Stove Pipe" not galvanized for your stove?
