Question
I'd like to know what the clearance for air space is on an 8x12 (actual measurement)316T stainless steel flex liner. Will this liner be within code to install in an existing 8x12 masonry chimney?

Answer
Hello Edward, you wil have to check with your local building department for that info (varies from town/city to town/city). they should also be insulated (as per install instructions) you may want to check with the liner manufacturer. but it is usually "clearance to combustibles" and a masonry 8 x 12 is not combustible...but check both above.
