Chimney & Fireplaces/Oil to wood conversion

Question
I currently have an oil furnace. I want to remove it and install a woodstove. Would I have to total remove the furnace? And what all do I need to do to convert the block chimney for a woodstove?

Answer
Hello Scott, they make wood boilers and furnaces I believe most people ad a wood stove to another chimney (or build a new chimney out of the stainless steel double wall insulated pipe. as far s removal you might  not have to but they can not be installed in the same flue so the piping would definitely have to come out, also check with your local building department, and I would have a local Certified Chimney Sweep www.csia.org, (there you can look up by zip code to find one near you) take a first hand look at what you have, they should be able to help.
Hope this helps
James
