Hello how are you doing? I need some help first of all i have a marco fire place model # 792778-E were the fans are on the bottom of the unit there is a pice of tin that is about 14x32 that has 2 tabs on the ends well one side was laying on the bottom of the fire place it don`t look like it does anything i hooked it back up what is that for? also on the right side of the fire place there is a lever i would think that it would be for draf? but when i move it i can't see anything moving what is it for and what does it do? and how does it work? also when i start a fire i keep the main draf open all the way but when the fire is going good i still leave it open all the way is that right or should i shut it half way or a 1/4 way what is the best thing to do? well i hope that you can answer all my Q? if you would need to get in touch with me you can also call me at  thanks for your time......... bob ":)

Hello Bob I am fine (you are the first to ask), how are you, hope all is well.
the lever might be fro fresh air intake,  and leave the damper open full all the time, if you can find the owners manual you should read it and follow it.
