Chimney & Fireplaces/smoke problem

Question
I used to have a RSF Ardent woodstove(for 25 years) and a 45feet cemented clay chimney , never had any smoke problem.
I switched to a Blaze King , the Queen model with cat.filter, and had to upgrade my chimney with a solid 6" SS liner ,to get up to code.Because my chimney was shorter than the roof peak they added 10 feet of SS ontop of the existing chimney.Since they did this I have nothing but trouble with ice build up on the top deflector and I think there is ice build up in the top SS extension .
My stove burns 24/7 from Oct. till March and 90% of the time burn above the min. temp aloud. Outside temp. is from 0 to -35 C
Is it possible that the efficient Blaze King releases smoke at such low temp that by the time it reaches the SS extension the moisture will freeze on the inside?
Any solutions.

Answer
Hello Mike, yes the newer stoves will emit less heat (you want more in the  house) and thus less to heat the chimney, was the new chimney insulated with blanket wrap or a pour insulation? and is the extension insulated?
you might have to remove the SS extension?
