Question
Hi Randy: I hope you can answer my question. I have a manufactured fireplace in my mobile home. After looking around I found that it was built by Martin Industries Inc (now defunct). My home was built in 1995 and is a 1996 model and has been well taken care of. The Model Number is AD-627991. What I need is the the ceramic back wall in the fire place box. What options are available to me. I don't have the money to put in a new fireplace, If that option was open I would have already tore out the fire place and put in a wood burning stove. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

The building code unfortunately leaves you no wiggle room. Listed parts or nothing. There are aftermarket parts available and people do install them, I would not because of the liability. Check with your insurance company and run these rules past them, you may be covered for the new appliance under the circumstances. Best of luck.
