Chimney & Fireplaces/gas fireplace and soot

Question

I have a ventless majestic gas fireplace.  This is not my first.  We have a gas well on the property and when we had this installed we instantly began having issues with soot.  The soot has covered our walls and ceiling.  We have had three people out including the plumber who installed the unit and no one has any answers.  I called the store where it was purchased and also someone with the gas company.  No answers yet and we are at our wits end.  I asked Bart Ogden and he had no answer.  Please help with some suggestions.

Answer
Hello Kat, I do not have that much experience with Vent free any thing and I am not a big fan.
are you sure you have enough make up air (air that is needed to burn properly) have you tried changing gas sources (if it started when you hooked up to your "well".
has any one tried to adjust the flames?
idid you call the manufacturer not just the store?
hope this helped
