Know that other fireplace  manufacturer sizes/ configuration similar to old Martin fireplaces (also know no longer manufactured) Need to replace damper in it. Is there a damper replacement kit available that I could use to retro fit?  Martin model # BW 2845 SN # A877437

Hello Matt, they do make top mount dampers that fit tot the top of a chimney flue with a cable  that runs down the inside ( you might need an adapter plate), try an internet search or I would have a local Certified Chimney Sweep www.csia.org, (there you can look up by zip code to find one near you) take a first hand look at what you have they should be able to help.
