Question
I got a Country Comfort CC300 fireplace insert that I would like to install in my fireplace.  My existing fireplace is masonry and has a steel lined chimney.  Do I need to insert a pipe up into my chimney or can I just place the insert as it is right now?

Answer
Hello Thad, not sure what you have or if that stove will fit work in that chimney correctly do you have the manual for that stove and if so read it and follow it, also check with your local building department,I would have a local Certified Chimney Sweep www.csia.org, (there you can look up by zip code to find one near you) take a first hand look at what you have they should be able to help.
if not installed properly it will build up way to fast and could be a bigger fire hazard.
Hope this helps
James
