Question
hey james; i have bought a pre-fab firepplace insert.my
questioun is can i place this in my old brick fireplace and
shoot the smoke pipe all the way out the top with out any
problems.If so do i have to hook the fresh air vent up or
can i let it vent naturally through the chimmney.

Hello James, not sure what you have you should find and read the owners manual and contact your local building department for you codes for venting and installations. I am not sure if you can use a "pre-fab" insert in a regular fireplace chimney.
