Chimney & Fireplaces/Wood Stove Efficiency

Question
James,

First, thank you for your help.

My wife and I are trying to understand wood stove efficiency (burning less wood while retaining more heat).

The only other function that we want the wood stove to serve is stove top cooking.

Which wood stoves would you recommend in 3 price ranges (low/middle/high)?

Thanks again.

Answer
Christian, I would say check out your local wood stove stores and see what they have and can offer from future maintenance and ease of cleaning to installation and then make you choice from that.
most wood stove stores only service what they sell (even if you buy the same stove and it is under warrant they will make you bring it to them, yes I know that sounds extreme but it does happen)
