Question
i have a new Heatilator vented fireplace in Florida.  The weather is hot and the glass is covered with condensation.  How can I eliminate this problem.  The fireplace is vented horizontally directly against outside wall. When I turn on fireplace, the condensation is burned off.  This is August and we do not use fireplace. Thank you

Answer
Hello Tom, the pilot light is on this will keep spiders out of the tubes (yes they love to propane and natural gas) that might be making the condensation , did you contact the manufacturer? And does the chimney have a cap to prevent rain from coming down (or ground water), I would have a local Certified Chimney Sweep www.csia.org, (there you can look up by zip code to find one near you) take a first hand look at what you have, they should be able to help.
Hope this helps
James
