Question
I have a Martin Industry wood burning fireplace.  Due to damage to my roof due to storm, the roof has been replace and has a higher pitch.  Now my fireplace vent pipe will not reach.  My contractor is desperately searching for 9" inner by 15" out pipe to connect to the higher roof cap. Can you lead me in the right direction to find this vent pipe?

Answer
Hello William,  you must know the maker of that pipe and then track it down, in most cases the pipe maybe discontinued or finding a piece next to impossible, but if you can find out who make it ( it should have a tag on it) then we might be able to track it down, I would have a local Certified Chimney Sweep www.csia.org, (there you can look up by zip code to find one near you) take a first hand look at what you have, they should be able to help.
Hope this helps
James
