Chimney & Fireplaces/unused stovepipe

Question
We need to know what to use to cap our unused stovepipe
We  have an old, homebuilt stove in our basement that we haven't  used for years.. the hole at nearly ground level is the issue.

There must be a way to cover it gracefully.. it is at least a double wall stainless steel pipe.

I have been online looking for a suitable cover, but the most I've seen are intended for the top of a used chimney..

any ideas for us/

Thanks,

Anne

and by the way I have been an all expert stained glass person in the past, so if you have any questions there, maybe I could help you, too.

Answer
Hello Anne, not  sure what you are asking did you want to use this system and need a cap or do you no longer use it and just want to cover the top? I would have a local Certified Chimney Sweep www.csia.org, (there you can look up by zip code to find one near you) take a first hand look at what you have, they should be able to help.
Hope this helps
James
