Question
I got a problem with smoke coming back in,tha chimney is clean, but I think I have a issue with tha cap on top of the stack, I had one made because they didn't have one in any store for it.I'm thinking it could be to close where its not enough circulation n suffocating tha fire, how high off tha top of tha stack would u recommend be in-between tha two?

Answer
Hello, the cap height should be 8-12" depending on the size, also you can try opening a door or window and see if the fireplace works then (use incense not a fire until you make sure) you may have Negative Pressure, Google it and read up on it.
