Chimney & Fireplaces/earth stove 1003c

Question
Should/can secondary intake be adjusted? Had some back puffing which concerns me. Chimney is clean. Could it be gasket around ash box? Fire seems to burn too hot as though beyond my control with convertor getting to 2000 degrees plus...door gasket seems fine. How often should gasket be checked or replaced?
Thanks!

Answer
Hello Dan, Is this a Wood Stove? The owners manual will tell you about the Gaskets checking and replacement,  some thing is off. 2000 degrees is way to hot? I would have a local Certified Chimney Sweep www.csia.org, (there you can look up by zip code to find one near you) take a first hand look at what you have, they should be able to help.
Hope this helps
