Chimney & Fireplaces/Gas Flue Line Sweeping

Question
I bought my house in 2011 and I don't use the fireplace.

Do I need annual gas flue line sweeping (service) done (line that connects furnace to chimney)?

Thank you for your help!

Answer
Hello Jeff, it might not need a cleaning but it should be checked every year, for built up, blockages deterioration and proper sizing to begin with, I would have a local Certified Chimney Sweep www.csia.org, (there you can look up by zip code to find one near you) take a first hand look at what you have, they should be able to help.
Hope this helps
