Chimney & Fireplaces/Do I need a Chimney Sweep ?

Question
I do not have a Fireplace but several people have said I should still have a chimney sweep done.  I've lived in my home for 23 years.  A company is coming through the neighborhood offering to do this for $56.  Not sure what to do.  Thanks

Answer
Do not let them in, you don't have a fireplace but still may have a heating flue (oil or gas that uses a chimney), I would have a local Certified Chimney Sweep www.csia.org, (there you can look up by zip code to find one near you) take a first hand look at what you have, they should be able to help.
Hope this helps
