Chimney & Fireplaces/Bricks falling through floor cleanout

Question
I am starting to get my fireplace ready for a pellet insert stove and while I was cleaning it out, i noticed that i have 2 bricks falling thru the floor of by fireplace. The two bricks are located parallell to a metal cleanout trap that is in the middle of the floor in my fireplace - - the cleanup trap goes to the ground under my house.

I am wanting to secure these bricks back in place & not have to worry about them falling through. Is there anything that I can do to securely hold them in place? I am not able to get underneath the fireplace to add anything there to support it from the bottom. Would putting new mortar around the bricks be enough to hold them since there is nothing underneath them to rest on? Or could I just some type of metal cover to the entire floor of the fireplace?  The rest of the floor is supported underneath it, only these to bricks arent bcs they are on the edge of the cleanout trap.

Answer
Jarrod,

If it's just an ash dump, you should be able to just cover it with 16 gauge metal, sealed to the firebrick underneath with high-temperature silicone, stove cement or Fireplace Mortar and set the pellet insert on top of it.
