Question
Hi -- The installers of the dryer duct in my basement wall cut a raggedy hole in the interior drywall so that the round metal duct can exit the house and vent outside.  (There is a vent cover outside the house).  Is there a product that I could install inside that covers the raggedy edges of the drywall, around the hole?  I'm thinking of a flat ring that circles the duct.  It would give the thing a finished look.  I can't find such an item under duct flange   duct ring   duct wall plate, etc.  Any ideas?  Thank you!

Hi Lynn,

It's unfortunate that this was a shoddy installation and they didn't care about their work.

You could buy a 4" trim ring for single wall piping, but there will be no way to get it around the piping without removing the piping from the wall or splitting the trim ring to get it around the piping.

I've seen those rings at Home Depot in the venting section.
