Chimney & Fireplaces/Fireplace Inserts

Question
We are remodeling an old house and the chimney is no longer functional.  We do not want to take it down and would prefer to use an inset with it's own stove pipe running up thought the defunct chinmey.  Our choice of fuel is oil.  Are there efficient oil fueled inserts?  If so can you reccommend any to look at?

I'm sorry I don't have any personal experience with oil-burning inserts.

You might check www.csia.org for a CSIA Certified Chimney Sweep in your area.  I'm sure they could help you with recommendations and with the prep and installation.
