Chimney & Fireplaces/fireplace insert

Question
We own an Earthstove fireplace insert (Model 4000?) from Lennox.We are building a cottage and would like to use it.  Do you think it is possible? What would we need to construct to be able to use the insert?  We would like to have it look like a corner fireplace.

Diane,

You would have to construct a masonry fireplace to the NFPA-211 standard before you could install your insert. An easier solution would be the installation of a high efficiency fireplace for your corner unit. Its like a built in wood stove and will be less time and money in the long run.
