Chimney & Fireplaces/kiln dried wood

Question
Hi, I am new to using a wood burner and have picked up a few packs of kiln dried wood at my local hardware store. I noticed it produces alot of smoke.  I am trying to find out if kiln dried wood is good/bad to burn.  Can you give me any information on this?  Thanks

The manufactures installation instructions that came with your EPA certified stove will be the biggest help here. It will direct you to the best operating instruction advise there will be. Kiln dried wood to start your fire will not be a problem, but as an exclusive fuel, may act to overfire your appliance. If you don't poses these instructions, refer to the listing label attached to your stove and contact the manufacture. Good luck.
