Question
I have a security chimney fireplace that was put in when the house was built in 1987.  My question is what the levers on either side of the door handles do and the lever behind the fold down grill at the bottom.  No matter what direction I put them it doesnt seem to change anything.

Sorry, I'm not familiar with this product other than the chimney system. Traditionally there is a field constructed masonry firebox that transitions into the Security chimney system. You may be referring to the glass door on the firebox and if thats the case, these levers may be combustion air intake levers. I hope this helps and Merry Christmas to you and your family.
