Question
my fireplace pilot light will stay on but if i turn the gas on it will produce a fire for approx. 5 to 10 and then the pilot goes out and the propane shuts off, can i spray compressed gas duster on the parts to clean or whatever you can suggest thank you for taking the time to answer my question. thanks again and merry christmas

Answer
Ken,

Merry Christmas to you as well. I caution you about using compressed gas and would recommend a service be done by an authorized service technician of the manufacture. You may also try an NFI certified gas specialist. You may have a vent blockage or any other number of things that can result in the symptoms you describe. Gas appliances are serious business and should be services by professionals. Good luck.
