Hi!
Two students that are gonna do the trip of our lifes, but we are wondering if you know how to get from Tibet or Nepal to India and what is worth seeing in India! We like to see something else then only the tourist parts, culture, but also some beaches...

Hello again Jess,

If you want to get from Tibet to India, you have to come via Nepal as there is no direct route - either by air or by road. From Nepal you can get to India via several routes - you can take direct flights from Kathmandu to Delhi, Varanasi or Kolkata. Or you can take buses from Kathmandu or Pokhara to various places in India - Varanasi, Gorakhpur, etc.

For all these deails and for more information on touring India, I would suggest you get hold of LONELY PLANET travel guides on INDIA, TIBET, CHINA  as you will need them during your travels as well.

India has some great beaches in Goa and Kerala and some hidden ones along the west coast. The LONELY PLANET guide will have all the details that you will require.
