Question
i am visiting china soon, what plug sockets do they use and will i need an adapter.

Answer
China uses the same sockets and plugs as American electronics. The voltage is different, but it doesn't affect the general performance of anything. If you need to purchase any adapters, wait till you get to China, considering that most of the world market's products are made in China and cost a fraction of what they do in the West. If you are visiting Hong Kong, however, you will definitely need an adapter. This too you can purchase in China or Hong Kong for cheap.
