I have 3 hong kong students in my home ,going to college, 2 are having birthdays soon. i would like to know what is usual for the birthday celebration, to make them feel more like home.

Hi Susan,
Birthdays in Hong Kong are similar to birthdays in western culture.  Usually the birthday person is the one who pays in Chinese culture though.  However, if you want to make them feel more like home then maybe take them out to a Chinese restaurant that has good Yum Cha.  Cantonese love their food so you won't go wrong there.
