Answer
Hello Liam,

I can help if you are traveling through China using trains or buses. But if you are planning to drive in your own vehicle I'm afraid I'm not the correct person for advice. You need to contact the International Automobile Association or something similar in order to get maps, road conditions and rules and regulations about getting your vehicle across the border. I'm sure there are quite a few formalities in this regard.

Hope this helps.
