Hi Nilesh,

Right now I'm in shenzhen for official purpose and have a Chinese Visa. I reached ShenZhen from Bangkok->Shanghai->shenzhen. While returning to India i'm planning to travel via Hongkong. I would like to know if chinese visa is applicable for entry into Hongkong for Transit. Can I plan for a day's stay in Hongkong for visiting. If so, let me know the procedure.

Hello Kiran,

Hong Kong is right across the border from Shenzhen. You can go and check at the border post whether your Chinese visa will permit you to visit Hong Kong for a day. From what I can remember you should have no problems and even if a permit is required to enter Hong Kong it can be done at the boder crossing.
