It is very hard the read the letter on the paint, that looks like the artist's signature.
I need bigger image to be able to see it.

Dear Cindy:
Sorry for this slow reply, I was in China.
The characters on the painting are somebody's name, which was very old character. I will need my friends to figure what that is. That looks like"zhuan shu" style-calligraphy, which was developed 3000 years ago, but some artists still use the old style to sign on their pictures now. Which doesn't mean the painting is old as 3000 years ago, if you think that is an antique, you need professional to evaluate.
The character is the artistic name for a man.
But I will update with you after I get more info from my artist friends.
