Hi:

I don't understand a bit of Chinese. However, I'd like to communicate in Chinese over the internet to people who don't understand English.

I am looking for a software that will exactly translate American English letters, words, sentences, grammar, punctuations, and symbols to traditional Chinese and visa versa. This way I can telecommunicate in chat rooms to Chinese people and fully-understand their responses.

Does any such software exist?

Thank you for your enquiry.

I do not think there's any software that can translate one language into another fully, and, EXACTLY.  If there were such a software, it would definetly not be English to Chinese, or vice versa.

Anyway, if you would like to communicate in Chinese over the Internet with people who don't understand English, try to use some of the online translation tools, such as:   

http://babelfish.yahoo.com/

You should be able to express yourself in (and understand) "simple Chinese terms".  Just don't take what you see (hear) too seriously... ;)
