Question
Hi,
My parents always tell me not to sleep with my hair wet, because it will cause "fung seep/sup" (Cantonese). What does this mean in English? Is this superstition true?

Answer
Hi, M,

If you really want to catch a cold, go sleep with your hair wet. That's why my parents said.

I believe the ancient Chinese blamed all illnesses to bad "Fung Shui" (See definition online at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Feng_shui.)

Meanwhile, just blow your hair dry to avoid further PNP (Parental Noise Pollution).

Thank you for your question, and have a nice weekend.
