Question
I have a necklace with the chinese symbol for happiness. Two Chinese speakers
have told me how to pronounce it. Once said it says, "KWI - Doh -  I'm happy."
The other said it says "KWI luh."  What is the right way to say I'm happy? Thank
you.

Answer
Dear Betsy,

We have hundreds of dialects in China. So the 2 persons you asked might speak their own dialects. You may take a photo of the necklace and send it to me. so that I can tell you how to pronounce it. Please send it to shannon8011@hotmail.com

Best wishes,

Shannon

P.S. There are different ways to say I'm happy. So I'd better see the symbol first.
