I am trying to translate this sentence.  
试物应溶解或悬浮于适宜的介质中，建议首选水，其次是植物油(如玉米油)，或考虑使用其它介质（如羧甲基纤维素、明胶、淀粉等）。
The rest isn't bad, but I cannot figure out the first three characters.  Does it mean "test animals"? and how does it relate to dissolved and suspended media?

thank you for your good comments last time :)

"试物" literally means "test thing", meaning "things to be tested". and the third character "应" means "should".

so the whole sentense is saying:
"The things to be tested should be dissolved or suspended in proper media. Water is recommanded most, next to which is vegetable oil(eg. corn oil). Or you may consider some other media (such as carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC),gelatin or amylum).

btw, i wonder what the "受" at the end of your letter means. did you mean to say "爱"(love)？
