Chinese Cuisine/soy sauce and peanuts
Expert: Louis M. Wu - 4/7/2010
QuestionDear Ms. Wu,
I eat a diet of white rice, fish, dried beans, lots of peanuts, fresh fruits (especially lemons), and sweet potatoes. I would like to begin to eat seaweed with soy sauce (once or twice a week) because I read that seaweed is high in iron, calcium, and collagen. In traditional Chinese cuisine, are there any rules about eating a diet that is high in soy sauce and seaweed, and also eating a lot of peanuts, lemon juice, etc.?
Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.
AnswerDear Mrs Rochelle! how are you this is Chef Wu actually I'am a male but I'am not mad you call me Ms.Wu lets find you an answer. I'am a chef not a Doctor so I really can't give you any Medical advice. seawwed is good for you just like anything else we always want to consume just right amount of our food that we eat. there's no Rule on Chinese traditional cusines on eating a diet that's high on any types of food. so just consume right amount then you will be fine. thank you for your question have a happy day!!!
