Hi I wrote to you about 10 days ago with this question, perhaps you didn't receive the email.  I wanted to know what CORNFLOUR (australian term), used as a thickner in many chinese recipe in Australian cookbooks is called in america.  I am looking at chinese recipes on american websites and I want to know if i can substitute cornflour for whatever you use in america.  Also what website can I find the most AUTHENTIC chinese recipes...I adore chinese food, I want to know where I can find the most authentic recipes!!!!! this is Chef Louis! I have answer your questions 10 days ago perhapse you didn't receive it but here it is.
in America we use cornstarch to thicken our chinese
food cooking. as far as online recipes I really can't help
you with that because I work 13 hours a day and I don't have the energy to surf the web and seek out where they
have the best chinese food recipes. sorry about that
