Subject: Running a bar in China, need more Chinese customers

Question
Hi,
I am running a bar in Yunnan Province, Dali Old Town.  I'd like to know what artists would be best for pulling Chinese tourists into our bar.  Before I worked here, foreign backpackers were the target, but with Olympic-related visa issues, it is vital we get more Chinese people in here.
Thank you,
Joe

Answer
Hello Joe

If you are thinking of playing some Chinese pop, I can recommend some artistes' albums to play. These artistes are rather popular in China.

Male artistes: Jay Chou, Lee Hom, Andy Lau, Eason Chen, JJ Lin, David Tao, Zhang Xin Zhe, Hu Ge, Luo Zhi Xiang, Hu Yan Bin, Aska Yang

Female artistes: Fish Leong, Jolin Tsai, Stefanie Sun, Tanya Chua, Li Yu Chun, Zhou Bi Chang, Zhang Liang Ying, Angela Chang, Faye Wong

Groups/Bands: SHE, MayDay, Bang Bang Tang, FIR, Yu Quan, Fahrenheit, Fei Er Yue Tuan

Also, there is a chinese album specially dedicated to the olympics. "The Official Album for Beijing 2008 Olympic Games"
It includes many famous singers from places like tw, china, hk.
I have found a website http://www.9sky.com/music/album/46188.
It lists all the songs in the album but you cant read chinese is that right? you can click on this symbol of an earphone and u can listen to the song.

hope all this helps! =)

Regards,
Ee Leng
