Chiropractors/Broken Rib recovery

Question
I broke my rib about 10 days ago when my daughter plowed into me on skis.  The pain has significantly decreased - although I still wince when I cough or sneeze and roll over gingerly.  How soon before I can safely resume exercise?  I live in a ski town and am hopeful I can get back on my down hill and cross country skis before long. I would appreciate any information /advice you can give.

Answer
Hi Cory,

Did you receive any treatment for the injury?  What kind of "fracture" did you sustain?

A rib fracture can takes from weeks to months to heal especially when it continues to be aggravated with movements such as turning of the trunk, breathing, cougphing, sneezing...etc.  The type of fracture can indicate various time of healing.
