Question
Can a Chiropractor help the ringing and feeling of being underwater in the ears caused from Meniere's Disease?

Answer
Hello Chris,

Your concern with Meniere's,- I am sorry if you, a family member or friend have this condition.  It is a difficult condition to diagnose, treat, 'cure'.

There are many schools of thought on this condition. Quoting from medical sources:
"Many experts on Ménière's disease  - THINK  -   that a rupture of the membranous labyrinth allows the endolymph to mix with perilymph, another inner ear fluid that occupies the space between the membranous labyrinth and the bony inner ear. .... There is   **no cure**   for Ménière's disease." http://www.nidcd.nih.gov/health/balance/meniere.asp

"""The origin of Meniere's disease is presently   **controversial.** While in the past, it was felt that plumbing problems (hydrops) in the ear were responsible for the disease, the most current opinion is that the plumbing problems are are just a marker for the Meniere's disease, rather than necessarily being responsible for the symptoms.
..... At the present time there is  **no cure**  for Meniere's disease...."""     http://www.dizziness-and-balance.com/disorders/menieres/menieres.html#whatis

""""".....Meniere's (say "men-ears") disease is the name of a problem of the inner ear.   **No one knows the cause. **    Meniere's disease has something to do with fluid in canals of the inner ear. Although it can be troublesome, Meniere's is not contagious and it isn't fatal. ....  Meniere's disease is often frustrating for people who have it....."""""   http://familydoctor.org/online/famdocen/home/articles/096.html
